Physical healing is not dependent on “just having more faith”. That position would not be defensible based on scripture. But the scriptures do tell us to seek God’s will in all aspects of our lives.
The authentic aspect of healing, as demonstrated by the Cancer Recovery Pyramid, asks us to consider our lifestyle choices. Those choices greatly influence the body. Also, we believe so do our beliefs and attitudes, our relationships and most importantly our connection to God.
Often, but not always, this combination will include physical healing. But even an improvement in just one aspect of one’s life qualifies as the healing touch of God’s hand.
We must pray for people because they will be better off when we do. If we simply do not make wild promises or demand a certain level of faith or a certain answer, but only ask for others to let God love them, we will have succeeded in our quest to put God and others in connection with one another, in connection with all aspects of the healing God offers.
We ask that God simply loves those who are sick through our prayers. No demands. No conditions. In doing so, we have seen authentic healing after authentic healing. We also believe God’s eternal healing is on the way.
