The scriptures continually assure us that God understands our circumstances and our needs.  So we turn to them to learn what God already knows about us and to receive the strength, the patience, the wisdom and the power to deal with our circumstances and to rise above them when we are lonely, scared or in pain.

Devoting ourselves daily to reading the scriptures and turning to God in prayer is an act that opens up our hearts, our minds and our souls to receiving the heart, mind and soul of a loving God who is able to bring us divine understanding, unspeakable peace and renewed life.
